A blueprint for the future.
EDITION 20: INVEST ON PURPOSE
This week, as I sat at my computer sending out loan invoices, my 6-year-old son sat next to me, doing his reading homework.
When he finished, he looked up and asked, “Can you explain your work? I don’t really understand it.”
And in that moment, I saw something special: a little boy trying to understand what his mother does. Not just the mechanics, but the meaning.
That’s when it happens, isn’t it? When they admire us. When they’re still young enough to ask, to listen, to learn. And we have the chance to shape what they’ll carry forward.
To give them better tools than the ones we inherited. To raise them with a new kind of role model.
So this one’s for him.
And for every future worker, founder, friend, or partner shaped by the choices we make today.
Dear Son,
You’re still small now. Sleeping peacefully beside me, dreaming of laser tag birthday parties and Pokémon tournaments. But one day, you and others your age will step into the world we’re building right now.
Today you asked about what I do for work. One day you’ll ask why I started this company.
You might think it was just about women.
Funding women. Supporting women. Investing in women.
And you’d be right. But not completely.
A world worth growing into.
I started BeeCene because I believe in a world where women thrive. And men thrive too.
Where businesses are backed not just by spreadsheets, but by values. Where we teach boys to lead with care, not control. Where we raise sons who know that power isn’t something to take, it’s something to share.
Because here’s the truth: Right now, the boys aren’t alright.
They've inherited a playbook full of pressure and silence. Told that strength means never needing help. Trained to compete, not connect. Rewarded for dominance, not care. Taught to see the world as me versus you, instead of all of us rising together.
Meanwhile, the women around them—your future colleagues, partners, friends—build businesses with purpose, hold families together, and carry communities on their backs, often without the financial support they deserve.
Building something better.
So I’m doing my part. Building a place where women can invest in each other. Creating a system that values empathy, community, and care. Things I hope you’ll grow up to embody, too.
BeeCene is how I’m helping shift what’s “normal.” For women. For men. For you.
Because, BeeCene isn't just about redirecting capital. It's about redirecting what we value. It's about proving that businesses built on care can be profitable. That communities built on mutual support can be powerful.
That investing in women isn't just a good thing to do—it's smart business.
I'm building BeeCene so that when you enter the workforce, you'll find a system that rewards collaboration over competition. When you move out on your own, you'll live in a community where everyone has what they need to thrive. And when you invest your money, you'll have options that align with your values, not just your wallet.
The boys will be alright.
Because we're changing the rules.
One investment at a time. One woman-owned business at a time. One son raised with different values at a time.
You don't have to choose between success and integrity. You don't have to choose between winning and helping others win too. You don't have to choose between building wealth and building a better world.
One day, I hope you'll join us.
Not because I'm your mom, but because you'll believe in a world where everyone gets to rise. And no one is left behind.
Until then, I'll keep building the world I want you to inherit.
Love,
Mama
P.S. Whether you have kids or not, build the world we all deserve to inherit. Join BeeCene. Because the future is shaped by the investments we make today.
